Or you can push them into a grinder in the overworld using a portal.--CheekNorris (talk) 00:06, 12 April 2014 (UTC)

Almost all of the information under Preparation and Creation is not only outdated but using incorrect assumptions (basically Minecraft myths).

Anyone who tries to use this info will be even more confused and making mistakes.

As the one screenshot notes, the Nether Fortress has a bounding box solely based on the structure. It has nothing to do with area/size or nether bricks.

Wither Skeletons will spawn on any block that's within a Nether Fortress bounding box.

To maximize spawn on the Wither Skeleton platform you need to spawnproof the entire spare radius of 128 blocks away from your AFK spot (destroy blocks or bottom slab them).

You can ensure only Wither Skeletons by covering the spawn area with Wither Roses, but it works either way.

I think the stuff about using pistons and whatnot is extremely outdated, normally you would collect the Wither Skeletons using a Piglin or Golem as bait to trapdoors, with lava to push them as needed.

Someone more knowledgeable than me should update these sections, or at least delete them and just refer to the YouTube videos on it.
