Have you tried activating numerous TNT blocks at the same time and having them all affect some Obsidian at the same time? --JonTheMon 00:17, 27 December 2010 (CST)
- Moved from User talk:JonTheMon
- I made an album of tests as you requested. There is no such thing as "temporary health". If an obsidian block can't be destroyed by one TNT, it can't be destroyed by one billion TNT. You can check out the explosion algorithm which was translated from decompiled source code by me. Xfs 08:55, 27 December 2010 (UTC)
- What does that last picture show? And did all the TNT go off at the same time? --JonTheMon 08:37, 27 December 2010 (CST)
- The last picture shows four obsidian blocks inside 212 TNT blocks were not destroyed. No, if you want to be strict you can only use redstone wire to activate a few TNT blocks because redstone torches as repeaters introduce delay. But it doesn't matter. Explosion damage does not accumulate. I have made the theory clear with direct support from implementation details of Minecraft (beta 1.1_02) itself. It doesn't need more experimental proof unless you find any counterexamples. Xfs 09:13, 27 December 2010 (CST)
Thanks for all the neat information you've found on how explosions worked. I found explosion strength to be particularly interesting: I had wondered why Creeper explosions were smaller than TNT explosions! Good work, man! --JohnnyMadhouse 22:01, 27 December 2010 (CST)
You might want to take your own advice and stop edit warring. --JonTheMon 16:16, 28 December 2010 (UTC)
- I don't think I'm doing edit war. I reverted User:Miclee's edit once because of his silly comment in the edit summary, then I left a message at his talk page and stopped taking any action after he reverted me the 2nd time. I "reverted" his edit the 2nd time because I had some new content to add by starting with the undo link, and as you can see I didn't know what he just did before I submitted my version. I won't insist on reverting if he insists, as my contribution is already in its history. Xfs 10:23, 28 December 2010 (CST)
- You can edit the page in the page-edit field provided by the undo link, you don't need to complete an undo before editing the page.. ConMan8 16:27, 28 December 2010 (UTC)
- The only difference is just whether I should have used the provided "Undo ..." edit summary or written my own. Xfs 10:28, 28 December 2010 (CST)
Hey Xfs, could you update this for 1.0.0 (and check that there're no differences in 1.0.1 or the weekly snapshots)? Thanks! ใใใฃใๅฅดๅ๏ผ๏ผใ? ยท โ Dinoguy1000 17:17, 20 December 2011 (UTC)
