THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- That was a very amusing episode, I wonder how many times Godai and Mitaka fell on their asses.

Bleh episode. They've been feeding us filler since episode 41, but I hear things pick up soon.
Filler filler filler...some humor, but no development story wise. Hope it picks up soon. Kyoko knows Mitaka wants to be with her, she's just too indecisive...
El Psy Congroo まだまだだね!!!
This was a pretty good filler. Until Yotsuya showed up. Seriously, he's killing everything for me now.
meh I've seen better
The ending was nice, but hard to tell when this takes place.
Nothing special. Ok episode.
"The future is always blank. Only your willpower can leave footsteps there." "Ruling over death means ruling over life. Death is the climax of life. To have the best death, you must honor life."
Boring episode frankly speaking. The only things we learn is that Akemi, Ichinose and Yotsuya are pretty good at skating while Mikata is a lame.
Wow, lots of lukewarm reactions. I actually really really liked this episode. It's really funny seeing the coach being totally incompetent at something. I always love when "perfect" characters have a big flaw, and it's greater that we see another weakness of the coach besides being dog-phobic. I thought the brief moments of Akemi and Yotsuya just hanging out around the amusement park were funny too. It seems like extra work for the animation team to decide to place the skating rink next to a whole amusement park with a roller coaster... I'm wondering if they actually used a real-world tourist attraction in Japan as a reference for the setting.
I agree with AlexanderHD here. Granted it's been years since I've watched this episode, but I remember this one being a riot - Sure, it could be described as "Filler", but I like the episodes where we can see the characters doing activities like this, that we wouldn't normally see. Probably one of my favorite "non-important" episodes, a.k.a. not including the ending etc.
That was a fun episode that could have been perfect if Kyouko had been more participant of the silliness that was going through since everyone had their moment. Wouldn't mind another round of Shun and Yuusaku being a duo.
Trains EPs 37/96 In total 120 (No trains, count stands)
This was very entertaining - as was that other episode with the well, which was considered "filler" by some, but I enjoyed very much. Not all episodes need to "advance the plot". Sometimes it's fun to sit back and enjoy some leisure time, along with the characters.
Fun ice skating episode, I’ve never done it and would probably be complete ass at it so I can’t really criticize Godai and Mitaka’s performance lol, but surprisingly they did get it by the end when Kyoko became a moving target (like that The Outfield song), I thought that was pretty genius, essentially the carrot on a stick trick but the carrot is Kyoko lol. I also really liked the car ride scene, Mitaka has some nice tapes, I miss when cars used to be made with those installed, it’s all digital now, but I love my CDs still. And there were some nice moments with Ikuko and Kentaro in this one too, it’s fun watching those kiddos goof around, it’s just unfortunate for Kentaro that he seems to be in a similar boat as Godai in being unable to get closer to the girl he likes, being Ikuko, she’s too focused on Godai at the moment sadly lol, I think she’ll grow out of that eventually tho.
Oh, this was fun. I grew up skating, so seeing them struggle is kind of funny. But the race to get to Kyoko first was pretty funny. The amusement park that they're at, Fuji-Q Highland, is pretty famous. I've been past it on my way to Mt Fuji, but I never did stop there.
