| π Image The official website of the Mononoke anime movie project unveiled a pair of additional cast, key visual (pictured), the theme song, and second trailer for the third movie, subtitled Hebigami (Snake God), on Thursday. The movie is scheduled to premiere in Japanese theatres on May 29. Voice actresses Yukana (Code Geass: Hangyaku no Lelouch) and Eiji Takemoto (Golden Kamuy) are joining the cast as Amanotsubone and Saku Mizorogi, respectively. Singer-songwriter AiNA THE END will perform the theme song "No Epilogue," previewed in second main trailer below. Tomoaki Koshida (Ikebukuro West Gate Park) is directing the movie at Studio Kafka and EOTA. Yasumi Atarashi (Poketoon script) is penning the script. Yuuichi Takahashi (Vivy: Fluorite Eye's Song) is designing the characters and serving as the chief animation director. Taku Iwasaki (Kuroshitsuji) is composing the music. The first movie titled Mononoke Movie 1: Karakasa (Mononoke the Movie: Phantom in the Rain) premiered in Japanese theatres in July 2024 and the second movie, subtitled Dai ni Shou - Hinezumi (Chapter II - Fire Rat) was released on March 14. Produced by Toei Animation, Mononoke, a spin-off of the 2006 anthology Ayakashi: Japanese Classic Horror (Ayakashi: Samurai Horror Tales) aired in 12 episodes in Summer 2007.
