| I started watching Asian dramas in 2014 but only ventured into BL in 2020 (thanks to The Untamed).
When I first started watching, I didn't have much of a preference - not minding if a drama had no, little, or much romance. I simply watched for the story. Now, I watch exclusively for the romance and my favourite tropes. Though, I've always avoided horrors and thrillers to some degree.
I normally prefer Chinese dramas (especially historical ones) but I'm currently into Japanese dramas (especially Japanese BLs.)
My favourite tropes:
ml falls first and hard, ml having a secret crush/unrequited love for fl, pretend: amnesia/unfamiliarity, hidden: identity/personality/agenda, ml being the right amount of jealous/possessive
Rating system:
My ratings are subjective and mood-based, depending entirely on my ever-changing criteria, so the same rating won't always reflect the same level of enjoyment.
Watchlist system:
C - completed without mass skipping
D - dropped at least halfway through without mass skipping, anything dropped before the halfway mark is not added
