Hey @chasemp please hold off on this until I get a chance to cross-tag tasks with the new Privacy Engineering tag as appropriate.

sure, np. toss this back my way when ready.

Once done I'd recommend renaming it without alias to something like and add as "additional hastag" (alias) to https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/tag/privacy_engineering/. That way, generic links and existing workflows will continue to work and end up in a useful place.

Comment Actions

@Krinkle if I understand this correctly, resurrecting the tag as an alias for is not what we are ultimately looking for. We want to only include work requests that are specifically being surfaced to the PE function of the Security team. There will likely be many tasks that may have some privacy implication which do not necessarily require PE services. @chasemp can I get a sanity check? This is my understanding of where is going as well - many things may be tagged but only tasks that need to have the security team look at them will be tagged .

@Krinkle: Sounds like there is a misunderstanding here?
Privacy remains Privacy. This task is only about disabling the workboard of Privacy. This is not about disabling the Privacy project tag: Going to https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/tag/privacy/ , you would end up on https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/project/profile/1205/
Privacy Engineering is something separate and unrelated to this task. :)

I indeed thought the plan was to archive the tag. Nevermind. Thanks for clarifying, @Aklapper!

gentle poke, I wonder if the workboard is needed to review these tasks since it's not really populated and the tasks will remain visible?

Comment Actions

Hey @chasemp I've actually been using the Privacy workboard to track which tasks I've reviewed (moving them from intake to backlog) so if we could keep this around a few more days that would help.

cool, no worries, that makes sense.

Hoping to wrap this up as a straggler at teh end of the quarter, can I lend a hand for separating wheat from chaff?

Comment Actions

@chasemp I've reviewed all of the tasks on the Privacy board now, so you can remove that.
