Been working in web development since 2012 – never stopped loving it.
In my spare time, I like solving problems. I like playing with puzzles – whether it’s abstract or physical ones.
Anything technology-related – mostly the web. It’s really cool to be a part of an ever-growing expanse and be able to contribute to it!
Outside of that – video games, music, parkour, climbing. In other words – stuff that involves overcoming obstacles and fun.
Oh, and cats – let’s not forget them.
In 2012, started as a junior at a web development agency that primarily works with WordPress. I was scared at first, as there was a lot of stuff to learn. My mentor told me when I needed something, to always check the source code, as that was a good way to figure something out. “Code is poetry” – he said.
As the years went by, and I spent more and more time in WordPress’ source code, I began to notice how the quality of my code changed and improved. I know, people grow (experience and all that), but I never spent so much of my time browsing through the source code on anything else. Only now, when writing this, I realize how big of an impact WordPress has had on how I turned out as a web developer.
Score weights high-impact work (commits, releases, approved translations, props) at 3x routine activity.
