If you currently use Flexible Squares πŸ‘ Image
s2flexisquares
or another older s2 theme as the base under your layout and like it/like the features it offers, do not switch to a different theme ever! Old s2 styles were dicontinued and you can't choose them anymore. If you even so much as try a different theme on you won't be able to get your old one back (unless you have a paid account and re-create it manually.

Hi! I think how I can add livejournal flexible squares stylesheet to dreamwidth? I see that some people use them there.

I'm curious if anyone knows if it is possible to have a grid type layout for Flexible Squares or LJ layouts in general. It is one of the things I really want to try but haven't been successful.

It doesn't have to be super fancy. I just was curious if it is possible or if someone would have to be a paid member.

Hi! I think how I can add a custom mini icons? I found thousands tutorials but they didn't work. I have a paid account.

My icon fonts aren't working and I was wondering if it were possible to fix it.

This is my original post at support.

After I upload my CSS, save, then go to my lj, the stylesheet is empty and this is placed in it: /* suspect CSS: backslash hex */

After a few Google searches, I believe this is coming from me putting in special characters in my CSS.

::EXAMPLE::

div.comments a:link::before{
content: "\e90f"; <------- HERE
font-family: 'IcoMoon', 'SofiaPro', Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif;
font-weight: 400;
padding: 2px;
}

I created an icon font and that is the number/code assigned to that character. Everything works fine when I edit the CSS in the browser, but when I actually apply that CSS to my journal the CSS is replaced with /* suspect CSS: backslash hex */. I think that the special character code, like "\e90f" is doing this. So, it's my understanding (though, I don't think I'm understanding well) is that LJ can't read/handle the backslashes in the above code. Is this right? And if so, is there a way around it? Or am I way off base here and /* suspect CSS: backslash hex */ doesn't mean that at all.

Thank you for any help!

I'm wondering if there is a way to update Flexible Squares a bit so posts can have the new comment system.

Greetings.

It's been years since I've done any sort of customisation or theme hacking, so I've almost completely lost the knowledge I had of how to do anything. I am, though, very savvy, so I catch on quick. I'm not sharing my code for the moment, because I don't think it's (yet) relevant to my question.

In the view you reach from a calendar/archive page by clicking on "subjects" of any month with posts, is there a way - on that page - to add each post's tags? It shows privacy level and comment count, but I'd be interested in adding tags as well.

I am using Flexible Squares, a custom layer, and have a permanent account.

I've spent 2 days now trying to modify my currents and I'm getting a little frustrated with tags: I've merged it to the currents and added the icon, but I cannot get the word "Tags" to go away. Any thoughts?

This is what I've got:
