INTEGRAL
ESA's (European Space Agency) INTEGRAL (International Gamma-ray Astrophysics Laboratory) mission observes the universe in gamma-ray, X-ray, and visible light. It uses spectroscopy and wide-field-of-view imaging to study gamma-ray bursts, supernovae, X-ray binaries, active galaxies, and other phenomena. NASA aided INTEGRAL’s development and supports the U.S. scientific community’s use of the mission.
