Has US President Donald Trump Helped Or Harmed Boeing?

From trade wars to billions in aircraft orders. US President Donald Trump has been almost fully involved in Boeing's recent troubles and successes. Some of the more significant events that come to mind that link Boeing with the US administration, include criticism over the new Air Force One and in particular its delayed delivery, the China-US trade war that halted Boeing deliveries until the ban was lifted last week, and more recently, more than 300 aircraft orders following the signing of trade agreements with three countries in the Middle East as well as the UK. When it comes to the aircraft orders in the Middle East, the timing was purposefully to coincide with Trump's visits. Do you prefer a seatback, or do you bring your own device (BYOD)? Let us know in the comments!

Why Doesn't Southwest Airlines Operate The Boeing 737-900ER?

Southwest Airlines is the largest Boeing 737 operator in the world. With an extensive history with the aircraft type, the airline has operated all 737 series: The Original, Classic, Next-Generation, and the MAX. However, it has never shown interest in the 737-900ER, or the 737-400 for that matter. Nonetheless, the -900ER would allow the carrier to increase its capacity on several routes, and could potentially serve Hawaiian destinations depending on configuration and weight. Why do you think Southwest decided against the -900ER? Let us know in the comments below!
