Our primary goals are the validation of contact forces and muscle forces estimated at the knee using current and new musculoskeletal modeling methods.
This project seeks to advance the field of musculoskeletal modeling by critically evaluating muscle and contact force estimates at the knee during gait using data collected from patients with force-measuring knee implants.
SimTK is maintained through Grant R01GM124443 01A1 from the National Institutes of Health (NIH). It was initially developed as part of the Simbios project funded by the NIH as part of the NIH Roadmap for Medical Research, Grant U54 GM072970.
