With multiple BAFTAs, Emmys, and an Oscar nomination to our name, we bring thoughtful innovation into every project we undertake.

Our team of talented directors, animators, writers, designers, and producers collaborate to create work that blends captivating narratives, striking design, and unforgettable characters. From original TV series to title sequences, commercials, and short films, we thrive on both commissioned projects and our self-initiated works.

Fuelled by a passion for exceptional craft and fresh ideas, the eclectic range of work we produce reflects our ability to reinvent ourselves and embrace new ideas across a broad spectrum—From groundbreaking documentary such as LINCOLNS DILEMMA and IN WAVES AND WAR to striking main title design for Shonda Rhimes’s QUEEN CHARLOTTE and Ridley Scott’s RAISED BY WOLVES.

Studio AKA is also home to HEY DUGGEE, the hit preschool series created and fully produced in-house for CBeebies and BBC Studios. The series has become a global phenomenon: winning seven BAFTAs, two international Emmys, broadcasting in over 150 territories, streamed more than half a billion times on BBC iPlayer, and drawing over 2.8 billion lifetime views on its official YouTube channel. The show has also inspired SQUIRREL CLUB, a spinoff series that invites children at home to join Duggee and the squirrels in interactive activities, further extending the show’s ethos of play, discovery, and learning.

Most recently, Studio AKA partnered with fitness coach and author Joe Wicks to create ACTIVATE, a public service animated exercise series designed to get families moving together through short, engaging workouts. The series reflects the studio’s ability to combine creativity and purpose, delivering content that entertains while promoting positive social impact.

At the heart of Studio AKA’s work is a commitment to originality, artistry, and storytelling that resonates across audiences and genres. The studio continues to focus on entertainment production with a strong emphasis on original IP development, building a body of work that is as distinctive as it is internationally celebrated.
