Create a meeting in Google Chat
You can schedule a Google Calendar meeting and share a link to the meeting in Google Chat.
When you share the meeting, an event card appears in the message with the meeting title, date, and time.
Schedule & share a Calendar meeting
Important:
- Before you can schedule a meeting in Chat, download and install the Calendar app.
- You can only share and schedule a meeting in Chat with the Calendar app.
- On your Android phone or tablet, open the Chat app 👁 Image
or Gmail app 👁 Image
.- In Gmail: At the bottom, tap Chat 👁 Image

- In Gmail: At the bottom, tap Chat 👁 Image
- In Chat, open a message.
- In the reply area, tap Action menu 👁 Image
👁 and then
Calendar invite. - In Calendar, enter your meeting details.
- Tap Save & share 👁 and then
Send.
Tips:
- If you remove someone from a meeting invitation, but they’re still in the chat, they can view the event card.
