Learn about custom emojis in Google Chat

Create and share custom emojis with your organization through Google Chat. Use your custom emojis to personalize messages and share your team’s culture.

Important:

• Custom emojis are only available for work and school accounts.
• Your administrator can turn custom emojis on or off. Find out who your administrator is.
• You can’t share custom emojis with people outside your organization.

Use custom emojis in Chat

1. On your Android phone or tablet, go to the Google Chat app 👁 Image
   or to the Chat tab in the Gmail app 👁 Image
   .
2. Tap on a chat conversation.
3. At the bottom right, tap Add emoji 👁 Emoji
   .
4. Tap on Custom emojis 👁 Image
    to open all of your organization’s custom emojis.

Find your custom emojis

1. On your Android phone or tablet, go to the Google Chat app 👁 Image
   or to the Chat tab in the Gmail app 👁 Image
   .
2. Tap on a chat conversation.
3. At the bottom right, tap Add emoji 👁 Emoji
   .
4. Tap Custom emojis 👁 Image
    👁 and then
    Manage.

Tip: You can search for custom emojis by name.
