Delete a space
When you no longer want to use a space, you can delete it. When a space is deleted, you can’t recover it.
Important:
- You can only delete a space if you have the space owner role.
- When you delete a space, all messages and tasks in the space are deleted. Permissions on Drive files are removed, but the file isn’t deleted.
- If you're the last space owner and want to leave, you must make someone else the space owner or delete the space.
- On your iPhone or iPad, open the Chat app 👁 Image
or Gmail app 👁 Image
.- In Gmail: At the bottom, tap Chat 👁 Image

- In Gmail: At the bottom, tap Chat 👁 Image
- In the bottom navigation menu, tap Sections 👁 Image
. - Open the space that you want to delete.
- At the top, tap the name of the space.
- Tap Delete 👁 and then
Delete.
