Fix payment info issues in Chrome

If you have issues with your payment info in Chrome, you can update, edit or delete saved information.

Add, edit, or delete payment info you saved in Chrome

Important: If you’re signed in to Chrome, changes you make to a payment method appear on your other devices. This applies as long as you're signed in to Chrome with the same Google Account.

  1. On your computer, open Chrome.
  2. At the top right, select Profile πŸ‘ Profile
    πŸ‘ and then
    Passwords and autofill πŸ‘ Passwords
     πŸ‘ and then
     Payment methods πŸ‘ Payment methods
    .
  3. Add, edit, or delete info:

Tip: If your payment method is saved in Google Pay, you'll need to edit or delete it in Google Pay.

You can choose not to save your payment info on your device and not to offer to save your info.

  1. On your computer, open Chrome.
  2. At the top right, select More πŸ‘ Image
    πŸ‘ and then
    Settings.
  3. On the left, select Autofill and passwords πŸ‘ and then
    Payment methods.
  4. Turn off Save and fill payment methods.

In the text field, select your payment method. You can find a list of suggestions from your saved information. If there are no suggestions, Chrome can't detect the right fields on the website.

To check your saved info:

  1. On your computer, open Chrome.
  2. At the top right, select More πŸ‘ Image
    πŸ‘ and then
    Settings.
  3. On the left, select Autofill and passwords πŸ‘ and then
    Payment methods.

Fix payment errors

If you have issues buying something online, it could be an issue with your payment methods or the site.

Google Pay confirms that your credit card is valid with a temporary $0 or $1 charge. It will disappear after 1 to 7 business days, depending on your bank.

To confirm card ownership in Chrome, Google places a temporary charge. Google cancels this security charge shortly.

When you get a "Login not secure" or "Payment not secure" message, check the security status:
