Use Connected Apps in Gemini in Chrome
Important: Only some Connected Apps are available in Gemini in Chrome. Learn about which apps Gemini in Chrome can connect to.
With your permission, Gemini in Chrome can help you connect your personal information and content in Google Workspace services. If you connect the Google Workspace app, Gemini in Chrome can help you get things done with Google Workspace services, like:
- Summarize your emails in Gmail
- Add items to Google Tasks
- Create events in Google Calendar
Gemini in Chrome can currently connect to the following apps:
- Google Workspace, which includes:
- Google Tasks
- Google Keep
- Gmail
- Google Calendar
- Google Maps
- YouTube
Notes:
- For some apps, like Gmail and Google Calendar, in-line editing is not supported.
- Google Workspace apps are not yet available for Enterprise accounts.
- Some apps can only connect to Gemini in Chrome after you activate personalization in the Gemini settings.
- Google Photos is not yet available in Texas and Illinois.

To disconnect or connect apps:
- On your iPhone or iPad, open Chrome 👁 Chrome
. - Tap More 👁 Image
👁 and then
Settings. - Scroll down and tap Gemini in Chrome.
- Tap Connected Apps.
- Find the app and turn the app off 👁 Image
or on 👁 Image
. - Follow any on-screen instructions.
This disconnects or connects an app for all Gemini Apps, including Gemini in Chrome.

In addition to Connected Apps, Gemini in Chrome can also automatically use public information from certain Google services to provide more helpful responses to your prompts. For example, Gemini in Chrome can help you:
- Find relevant YouTube videos and answer questions you have about the video
- Get location-based information from Google Maps
Currently, Gemini in Chrome automatically uses public information from these Google services:
- Google Search
- Google Maps
- YouTube
- Google Travel (Flights and Hotel searches)
To use public information from Google Maps and YouTube, Keep Activity must be on. Gemini in Chrome can always use public information from Google Search, even if Keep Activity is off.
Use Personal Intelligence with Gemini in Chrome
With their permission, eligible users with Personal Intelligence can connect their data in some Google apps to Gemini in Chrome to get new, more personalized experiences previously unavailable through Connected Apps. By combining personal content with the context of the webpage, Gemini provides more personalized assistance.
To use personalization in Gemini in Chrome:
- You must be 18 or older and in the U.S.
- You need to meet Gemini eligibility requirements.
- Have your device set to a supported language.
Manage your personal info and preferences
At any time, you can manage how your personal info is used to tailor responses and share insights.
- To stop personalization based on your past chats, turn off “Past Gemini chats” in Gemini settings. Learn how to manage your past Gemini chats.
- To stop using info from other apps, like Photos and Gmail, manage your Connected Apps in Gemini.
Change Gemini’s voice
To use Gemini Live and change voice settings, you need to open Gemini in Chrome on a computer. You can also use Gemini Live via the Gemini iOS app.
