Create drawings with Chrome Canvas

You can create your own designs with Chrome Canvas. You can access them from your Chrome browser or Chrome Canvas on your Chromebook. Access Chrome Canvas on your Chromebook.

What you need

  • You can use Chrome Canvas with Chromebooks, Chromebases, and Chromeboxes.
  • If you use Chromebook for work or school, you can’t sign in to Chrome Canvas with your Workspace account or sync drawings to your Google Account. For more info, contact your administrator.

If you’re an administrator, learn how to manage Google Account access to Chrome Canvas.

Create, view, share, save, or delete drawings

  1. At the bottom left, select Launcher πŸ‘ Image
    .
  2. Open Chrome Canvas πŸ‘ Image
    .
    • When you open the Launcher, you can search for β€œChrome Canvas."
  3. At the top left, choose what you want to draw on:
    • To draw on a blank canvas, select New drawing.
    • To draw on a background, select New from image.
  1. At the bottom left, select Launcher πŸ‘ Image

  2. Open Chrome Canvas πŸ‘ Image
    .
    • The gallery displays all of your saved drawings.
  3. To open, select a drawing.
Tip: To access your other drawings while you create a new one, at the top left, select Gallery πŸ‘ Image

  1. At the bottom left, select Launcher πŸ‘ Image
    .
  2. Open Chrome Canvas πŸ‘ Image
    .
  3. Select the drawing you want to share.
  4. At the top right, select More πŸ‘ Image
    πŸ‘ and then
    Share.
  5. To share:
    1. Select Quick Share.
    2. Select Copy.
    3. Paste your drawing where you want to share.

To save your drawings across all of your signed in devices, sign in to your Google Account.

  1. At the bottom left, select Launcher πŸ‘ Image
    .
  2. Open Chrome Canvas πŸ‘ Image
    .
  3. Select Home πŸ‘ Image
    .
  4. At the top right, select Sign in.
  5. To review the pop up, check the window.
  6. To enter your Google Account login, select Sign in.

If you aren’t signed in to your Google Account, you can create drawings. Those drawings are saved locally to your Chromebook.

  1. At the bottom left, select Launcher πŸ‘ Image
    .
  2. Open Chrome Canvas πŸ‘ Image
    .
  3. Select the drawing you want to save.
  4. At the top right, select More πŸ‘ Image
    πŸ‘ and then
    Save as image.
    • To open the drawing in your Downloads folder, select Show in folder.
Tip: To access drawings across all of your devices, sign in to your Google Account.
  1. At the bottom left, select Launcher πŸ‘ Image
    .
  2. Open Chrome Canvas πŸ‘ Image
    .
  3. Select the drawing you want to delete.
  4. On the drawing, select Menu πŸ‘ Image
    πŸ‘ and then
    Delete.

Fix issues with Chrome Canvas

If you have trouble with Chrome Canvas and are redirected to the sign-in screen, check your settings and extensions to allow Google cookies on Chrome Canvas.
