Check that your devices are on the same Wi-Fi network
To confirm if your phone or tablet and your Google devices are on the same Wi-Fi network, follow the steps below.
Step 1. Check the Wi-Fi network of your phone or tablet
- Open your device's Settings app.
- Tap Wi-Fi.
- The network with the check mark next to it is the network you're connected to.
- To change the network:
- Tap a new network 👁 and then
enter password 👁 and then
Join. - If you've entered the password for that network before, it'll automatically connect. You'll find a check mark next to the new network.

Step 2. Check the Wi-Fi network of your Google device
- Open the Google Home app 👁 Image
. - Tap Home 👁 Image

, then touch and hold your device's tile. - Tap Settings 👁 Image

Device information. - Check what Wi-Fi network your device is connected to.
If your phone or tablet's Wi-Fi network doesn't match the Wi-Fi network of your Google device, learn how to change the Wi-Fi network of your device.
Important: If you have a Charging Speaker Dock, it won't connect to Wi-Fi on its own. To learn which Wi-Fi network you're using, check the Wi-Fi network that your Pixel Tablet is connected to.
