View, group & share contacts

You can organize the people and businesses in Contacts using labels.

You can use the Contacts app to find someone’s contact info or organize contacts with labels like "friends" or "family."

Check your contacts

1. On your Android device, open the Contacts app 👁 Image
   .
2. At the bottom, tap Contacts.
   1. Contacts by label:
      1. At the top, tap Label 👁 Image
         .
      2. Select a label.
   2. Contacts for another Google Account:
      1. At the top right, tap your Profile picture 👁 and then
         Select an account.
   3. Contacts for all your accounts:
      1. At the top left, tap your account 👁 and then
         All contacts.

Tip: If you have multiple contacts with the same information, the information will be grouped into one contact.

To check your Google Account contacts on the web, go to Google Contacts.

Contact someone

You can call, email, or send text messages to your contacts. You can also learn how to make video calls to your contacts.

1. On your Android device, open the Contacts app 👁 Image
   .
2. Tap a Contact in the list.
3. Select an Option.

Create a group

You can group contacts together with labels.

1. On your Android device, open the Contacts app 👁 Image
   .
2. At the top, tap Label 👁 Image
    👁 and then
    New label.
3. Enter a label name.
4. Tap OK.
   1. Add one contact to a label:
      1. Tap Add contact 👁 Image
         .
      2. Select a contact.
   2. Add multiple contacts to a label:
      1. Tap Add contact 👁 Image
         .
      2. Touch and hold a contact.
      3. Tap other contacts you want to add 👁 and then
         Add.

Tip: If a contact has multiple email addresses, only their default email address is added to the label group. 

Remove contacts from a group

1. On your Android device, open the Contacts app 👁 Image
   .
2. At the top left, tap Label 👁 Image
   .
3. Select a Label.
4. Touch and hold a contact.
5. Tap the other contacts.
6. Tap More 👁 Image
   👁 and then
   Remove from label.

Share your contacts

1. On your Android device, open the Contacts app 👁 Image
   .
2. Tap the contact you want to share.
3. At the top right, tap Contact settings 👁 Image
   👁 and then
   Share contact.

Check your own contact info

1. At the top right, tap your Profile picture 👁 and then
   Contacts settings.
2. Tap Your info.
