Print a file

You can print Google Docs, Sheets, or Slides using browsers like Chrome or Safari.

Print in Chrome

  1. On your computer, open a document in Google Docs.
  2. Click File πŸ‘ and then
    Print.
  3. In the window that opens, choose your print settings.
  4. Click Print.

Important: If you’re in a pageless document, you can still print. However, your document may appear differently in the preview window:

  • Images will automatically adjust to fit the page width.
  • The page will squeeze wide tables to fit.
  • If your document was previously in pages format and included headers, footers, watermarks, or footnotes, those elements will still print, even if you can't see them in your pageless doc.

If you want to control what the printed doc will look like, switch back to pages format.

  1. On your computer, open a spreadsheet in Google Sheets.
  2. Click File πŸ‘ and then
    Print.
  3. Optional: Choose your print settings, like margins or page orientation.
  4. Click Next.
  5. In the window that opens, choose your print settings.
  6. Click Print.
