Add or move columns & cells

You can add, change, move, or delete your spreadsheet's columns, row, or cells.

Add rows or columns

  1. On your Android phone or tablet, open a spreadsheet in the Google Sheets app.
  2. Select a row or column.
  3. Tap Insert 👁 Insert

  4. From the menu that appears, choose an option.
  1. On your Android phone or tablet, open a spreadsheet in the Google Sheets app.
  2. Touch and hold the row or column you want to resize.
  3. In the menu that appears, tap Resize row or Resize column.
  4. Enter a row height or column width.
  5. Tap Save.

You can also tap a row or column, and then drag the edges.

  1. On your Android phone or tablet, open a spreadsheet in the Google Sheets app.
  2. Select the row number or column letter to move.
  3. Drag the row or column to a new place.
