Connect with friends on Google Health

Important:

  • Social features in the Fitbit app are not available for a few weeks as the Fitbit app becomes the Google Health app.
  • Starting May 12, 2026, social experiences in the Fitbit app are paused to make sure all updates go smoothly. With this, you will not be able to send messages, track leaderboards or add or remove friends.
  • Over the next few weeks, you will get access to the Google Health app through your usual app updates. Once you’re in the Google Health app, you should have access to a new social experience with more leaderboard options.
  • If you still log in with a Fitbit account, you need to add your friends again in the Google Health app.
