Regenerate or modify responses from Gemini Apps
You can regenerate Gemini App’s responses and also modify its responses. For example, you can adjust the length, simplify the language, and change the tone of a response.
Important: To use this feature, you must be signed in to Gemini Apps. .
Regenerate a response
Important: You can regenerate only the most recent response in a chat.
In the Gemini web app
- To regenerate a response: Below the response, tap Regenerate 👁 Image
. - To switch between response versions: Below the response, tap the arrows to switch between versions.
In the Gemini mobile app
- Below the response, tap More 👁 Image
👁 and then
Other drafts. - Swipe to the end of the drafts.
- To use an existing draft instead, below the draft, tap Use this.
- After the drafts, tap Regenerate 👁 Image

Modify a response
You can continue to chat with Gemini to modify a response. For example, you can ask Gemini to simplify the language or provide more details about your topic.
