Change Gemini's language
You can choose the language Gemini Apps display, and in certain cases, understand in Language settings. This setting changes the language for the menu, notifications, and other text in Gemini Apps. It also affects the languages that you can talk to Gemini in when you say “Hey Google” or use the mic in the prompt field. Regardless of this setting, Gemini Apps can understand and reply in any supported language when you type your prompt or speak in Gemini Live.
Important: Some features in Gemini Apps, like Gemini’s voice setting, aren’t available in all languages.
Change Gemini’s language
- On your Android phone or tablet, open the Gemini mobile app 👁 Image
. - At the left, tap Menu 👁 Menu
👁 and then
your Profile picture or Initial 👁 and then
Settings 👁 and then
Languages. - Choose the language for the Gemini app.
