Get started with your daily brief in Gemini Apps

You can get proactive, personalized updates in your daily brief in Gemini Apps. Gemini generates items in your daily brief so you can stay informed, take timely action, and progress toward your goals. It summarizes important information from your Connected Apps, like Gmail and Google Calendar, and your Gemini chats to help you manage your daily life and plan ahead.

  • For students: Manage class schedules, organize study plans, and track applications.
  • For entrepreneurs: Surface actionable client emails and update task reminders.
  • For parents: Manage school communications, track family milestones, and handle household tasks.

Find your daily brief

If you’re eligible for a daily brief, you can access your daily brief from the sidebar.

  1. On your computer, go to gemini.google.com.
  2. On the sidebar, click Daily brief πŸ‘ Image

About your daily brief

Your daily brief includes two main sections that help you manage your tasks and goals.

  • Top of mind: This section shows timely, actionable items. These items primarily come from your Gmail, Calendar, and Gemini chats. This helps you stay informed about your most important updates each day.
  • Looking ahead: This section focuses on your longer-term goals. It provides suggested next steps to help you achieve them. Gemini's AI models generate these suggestions using insights from your Personal Intelligence.

Review & manage items in your daily brief

You can chat about items in your daily brief, mark them complete, and give feedback on them. This helps Gemini understand what’s important to you and better personalize your future updates.

Important: If you start a chat about an item, the chat is saved to Gemini Apps Activity. Learn how to manage your Gemini Apps activity.

You can chat with Gemini about a specific item from your daily brief. This helps improve Gemini’s understanding and personalizes future content.

  1. In your daily brief, find the item you want to chat about.
  2. Below the item, click More πŸ‘ Image

  3. In the text box, enter your question or feedback.

You can mark an item as complete after you’ve addressed it or dismiss it. This helps Gemini understand your progress and adjust future recommendations.

    Personal Intelligence.
  3. Turn off Daily brief.
