Edit your payments profile information
The details you can edit in your payments profile depends on your Google Ads account access level (such as “Admin” or “Billing”), billing country, and payment setting.

Information you can edit in your payments profile
Typically, you’ll be able to edit your address, tax information, name, phone number, and document language preference in your payments profile by following the instructions below.
Some payments profile details such as “country” and “account type” (Organization or Individual) can only be edited through a billing transfer. In some countries (for example, Brazil and Ukraine), it’s not possible for you to edit the tax ID. If you have the necessary access level but still can’t find the option to edit your information in the “Settings” page, you may need to perform a billing transfer.
Access levels required to make payments profile changes
- For “Individual” account types, you need Admin access on the payments profile to make changes.
- For “Organization” account types, you need Admin access on the payments profile or Admin access on the Google Ads account to make changes.
If you don't have the necessary permissions to edit the payments profile, you'll need to contact an authorized user, like the Primary Billing Contact or an Admin of the paying manager account. The authorized user can make the changes or grant you access.
How to edit your payments profile information
- Go to Settings within the Billing menu 👁 Billing Icon
. - Find and select to expand the "Payer details" section.
- Note: If you're on monthly invoicing, this section will be called “Payments profile” and you won’t be able to edit it directly.
- Go to the detail you want to change, then select the pencil icon 👁 Image
.- If you don't find a pencil icon next to the detail you want to change, that detail isn’t eligible for you to update.
- If you have the necessary access level on the account, but the option to edit the detail isn't visible, you need to perform a billing transfer.
- Make your changes, then select Save.
For advertisers on monthly invoicing, the "Payments profile" section in your “Billing settings” is not self-editable.
If you're on monthly invoicing and want to edit your business address or phone number in your payments profile, contact us. You need to be a payments profile user to request these edits.
