Say "Hey Google, find my phone" or โfind my iPhoneโ and the voice assistant should send a notification to your iPhone that makes it ring for about 25 seconds. To stop the ringing and dismiss the notification, tap the notification.
When multiple devices are registered, you need to be specific on which device needs to be notified. Otherwise, it may ring a different device. Instead of saying โHey Google, find my phone,โ try saying:
- โHey Google, find my iPhone.โ
- โHey Google, find my iPad.โ
The voice assistant sends the notification to the iPhone on which you last signed into the Home app ๐ Google Home app
. It also tells you which iPhone it will ring.
You won't get a notification alert from your phone if:
- It is set to silent or Do not disturb, unless youโve enabled critical alerts.
- It doesn't have a cellular signal or isn't connected to the internet.
- You are wearing an Apple Watch connected to that phone
- Tip: Try removing your Apple Watch before asking the voice assistant to ring your phone.
