About Streaks on Google Play Games

You can use Streaks to track how many days in a row you play, letting you watch your record grow and celebrate your progress.

Learn how Streaks work

  • Daily streak:
    • To earn your streak for the day, play any game downloaded from Google Play for at least 5 minutes per day.
    • The 5 minutes of play time can be accumulated across multiple games or sessions. There may be a delay when your streak updates are calculated for the day. Learn more about calculation delays when you play Streaks on multiple devices.
    • The timeframe to complete gameplay for the day is by 12:00 AM in your local time.
  • Active streak:
    • Your active streak is your current, unbroken run of consecutive days of gameplay.
    • If you miss a day, you’ll break your streak and you’ll have to start a new one.
  • Longest streak:
    • This is the tally of the longest streak you’ve held to date.

Tips:

  • You can only earn streaks when you play games on your mobile and tablet devices. However, there may be a delay in data collection across devices.
  • To keep your streak, make sure your device has a stable internet connection, so your gameplay data can be uploaded.
  • Your longest and active streak is available to anyone who can check your gamer profile.
    • If your gamer profile is public, your streak information is available to anyone who checks your profile.
    • If your gamer profile is private, your streak information is only available to you and any follower requests you’ve accepted.

You can find your Streak in the Play store both on your You tab and Gamer Profile:

  1. Open the Google Play Store app 👁 Google Play
    .
  2. At the bottom right, tap the You tab.
    • A dynamic placement on the "You" tab shows a summary of your streak progress.
    • The “You” tab may vary by region or country.
  3. At the top of the “You” tab, tap your gamer name to go to your gamer profile.
    • Your streaks will appear on your gamer profile page.

Earn a streak

As you play for consecutive days, your active streak grows.

Play is also testing ways to provide extra rewards for completing a streak. As part of that, a group of Google Play Points members with Gold level or above were randomly selected to receive Play Points for each 7-day streak they complete.

Upcoming rewards are noted on your streak calendar with a gift icon on the day you’ll unlock it. You’ll also find a message about your next reward under it. You'll have 72 hours to redeem your reward on the gamer profile home. You’ll get a prompt to do so on the “You” tab, gamer profile, or through push notifications if you’ve enabled them.

Stay tuned for any future announcements about changes to Streak rewards and how to obtain them.

Use Streaks on multiple devices

You can maintain your streak across mobile and tablet devices.

If you play across multiple devices, there may be a 6–30 hours of delay in the record of your earned streak. If you notice your daily playtime has been recorded on one device but not on another, it means your data hasn’t updated yet.

Multi-account support

  • On a single device, up to 4 accounts can have active streaks running.

Restore your streak

If you break your streak, you can use a streak restore to regain your progress.

About streak restore

  • Each streak restore recovers one missed day.
  • If your streak breaks, you have 7 days to use a streak restore and revive your active streak.
  • A restore doesn't count as a day of gameplay and won't increase your active or longest streak count. It won't count as the final day for milestones or streak rewards.
    • For example, if you use a streak restore for day 6, your count stays at day 6 and you’ll need to play the next day to hit day 7 and unlock your reward.
  • If you use a streak restore on a missed day caused by a system or latency issue, your streak restore will automatically be returned to your account once the day is correctly marked as played. The streak restore may take up to 4 days to process.

Earn streak restore tokens

Important: Currently, streak restore isn't available to everyone. If you can't find a streak restore, it isn't available to you yet.

You'll get a streak restore when you hit a streak milestone. For example, you get a token for 50, 100, and 365 consecutive days of gameplay.

To check how many streak restores you have available:

  1. Go to the You tab on your Play Store app.
  2. Find the “Build your streak” section.
  3. Next to the "lightning bolt," you can find the number of streak restores you've earned.

Use a restore token

  1. Go to the You tab on your Play Store app.
  2. Find the “Build your streak” section.
  3. Tap on the day that you’d like to restore, and then follow the instructions.

Notifications

You can get notifications from Google Play if your streak is about to break or if you have an available streak restore. You can disable these notifications in the Play Store’s Streaks settings or press and hold the notification itself. Learn how to turn app notifications on or off.
