Add or fix a road in Google Maps
If we need to add or edit road information in Google Maps, you can let us know. Google Maps road errors include:
- Incorrect or missing road names
- Incorrect info about one-way and two-way roads
- A road that was drawn incorrectly
- Road closures
- A road on the map that does not exist
- Missing roads
Important: You can only submit edits to Maps in some countries and regions.
Fix incorrect info about a road
- On your iPhone or iPad, open the Google Maps app 👁 Maps
. - On the bottom, tap the "Contribute" tab.
- Tap Update road 👁 and then
Other. - Tap the road you want to fix 👁 and then
Next. - Select the type of info you want to fix and enter the correct information.
- Tap Send.
Add a missing road
- On your iPhone or iPad, open the Google Maps app 👁 Maps
. - On the bottom, tap the "Contribute" tab.
- Tap Update road.
- Tap Missing road.
- Tap "Add first road."
- Move the pin to the location where the missing road begins.
- On the bottom, tap plus 👁 plus
to start drawing. - Drag the pin to the location where the road ends and tap plus 👁 plus
. - Add the road name and road type and tap Save.
- To complete the road, tap Done 👁 Image
.- To add additional missing roads, tap "Add another road" and follow steps 6-10.
- To submit the road, tap Next. Add more details if any and then tap Send.
