Share, send, or print directions from Google Maps

The directions you find through Google Maps can be shared with other devices you have, with other people, or printed.

Troubleshoot issues sending directions to your device

If your phone or tablet doesn't show up when you select Send to phone 👁 Image

Make sure that you have the latest version of the Google Maps app.
On your computer and mobile device, make sure that you’re signed in to Google Maps with the same account.
- Sign in on your computer:
  1. On your computer, go to Google.
  2. At the top right, click Sign in.
- Sign in on your phone or tablet:
  1. Open the Google Maps app 👁 Maps
    .
  2. Tap your Profile picture or Initial 👁 Account Circle
    👁 and then
    Sign in to your account.

Make sure that your device is connected to data or Wi-Fi.
Make sure that your notifications are turned on.

Make sure that your notifications are turned on.
Wait a few seconds.
Reload Google Maps on your computer and try again.

Send directions to your phone or tablet

Important: On your computer and your phone or tablet, make sure that you’re signed in to the same account. If you’re asked to turn on notifications on your phone or tablet, tap Turn on notifications.

You can send directions you searched for on your computer to your phone or tablet. To send directions to your phone or tablet, you can’t have multiple destinations.

On your computer, open Google Maps.
Click Directions 👁 Directions
.
Enter your desired locations.
Choose a route.
Click Send to phone 👁 Image
.
Select the device or email that you’d like to send the directions to.

Share directions with others

On your computer, open Google Maps.
Click Directions 👁 Directions
.
Enter your desired location.
Choose a route.
Click Share 👁 Share
.
Select any of these options:
- To share a link via email or text: Click Send a link 👁 and then
  Copy link.
- To share a link via social media: Click Send a link, then select the app that you want to share the link to.
- To share a link via a web page: Click Embed a map 👁 and then
  Copy HTML.

Share a map or location with others

On your computer, open Google Maps.
Go to the part of the map that you want to share.
At the top left, click Menu 👁 Menu
.
Click Share or embed map.
Select any of these options:
- To share a link through email or text: Click Send a link 👁 and then
  Copy link.
- To share a link through social media: Click Send a link, then select the app that you want to share the link to.
- To share a link through a web page: Click Embed a map 👁 and then
  Copy HTML.

Tip: You can't share a map with your saved locations, a map with distance measurement, or image of the map itself from Google Maps.

Print directions

On your computer, open Google Maps.
Click Directions 👁 Directions
.
Enter your desired location.
Choose a route.
Click Print 👁 Print Icon
.
Select Print including maps or Print text only.
Click Print.
