Block or report someone from calling you in Google Meet

If you no longer want to receive calls from someone, you can block them.

Meet has updated how blocking is handled. When you block someone in Meet:

• Their email account might be blocked across multiple Google products. Learn how to block or unblock people’s accounts.
• If you block their phone number in Meet, it is also blocked in Google Voice and Google Fi, and vice versa.
• Due to this change, in certain cases you might need to block contacts again. To reinstate the block, follow the blocking directions.

Tip: When you block someone from calling you in the Meet app, they can still join Group calls or Meet meetings with a shared link. Learn who can join your meetings.

Block or report someone

1. On your iOS phone or tablet, open the Google Meet app 👁 Image

2. On the search bar, enter the person’s name you want to block.
3. Tap the person’s name.
4. At the top right, tap Contact Options 👁 Image

5. Choose one:
   • Tap Block user 👁 Image
     .
     • If applicable, check the "Report as spam" box.
   • Tap Report abuse and block.
6. Tap Block.

Important: You can "Block" or "Report abuse and block" without reporting as spam or selecting an abuse type.

Unblock someone

1. On your iOS phone or tablet, open the Google Meet app 👁 Image

2. At the top left, tap Open navigation menu 👁 Image

3. Tap Settings 👁 Image
   👁 and then
   Account 👁 and then
   Blocked users.
4. Next to the account or phone number you want to unblock, tap Unblock 👁 Image
