Move photos to archive
You can hide photos from your Photos view and move them to archive. This can help you organize your photos and hide any photo that you donβt want to find often.
Any photos that you archive:
- Will still be in any albums that they were added to, search results, and folders on your device.
- Wonβt be used to create highlight videos or animations.
- Will still count towards your storage quota. Learn how to manage your storage.
Move images to archive
- On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Photos app π Photos
. - Sign in to your Google Account.
- Select a photo.
- At the top, tap More π More
. - From the drop down, tap Archive π Image
. - Optional: To find any photos that youβve archived from your Photos view, in the Google Photos app π Photos
, at the bottom, tap Collections π and then
Archive.- If you access "Archive" often, you might also find it at the top.
Find your archive & unarchive items
- On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Photos app π Photos
. - Sign in to your Google Account.
- At the bottom, tap Collections π and then
Archive π Image
. - Select a photo.
- Tap More π More
π and then
Unarchive π Image
