Engage with your Community

Interacting with posts in your Community helps you build a stronger connection with your audience. You can show appreciation for viewer posts, highlight important discussions, and respond to comments directly within your Community space.

Communities on YouTube

Reply to Community posts

Once a viewer has posted on your Community, you can leave them a reply.

  1. In the YouTube app, go to your channel page.
  2. Tap Visit Community.
  3. Go to the post you want to reply to 👁 and then
    Tap Comments 👁 Image
    . You'll see the Post comments page.
  4. Type your reply.
  5. Tap Post.

On the YouTube Studio app:

  1. Go to the Community 👁 Image
    tab.
  2. Go to the post you want to reply to 👁 and then
    Tap Comments 👁 Image
    . You'll see the Post comments page.
  3. Type your reply.
  4. Tap Post 👁 Image
    .

Heart your favorite Community posts

You can use a creator heart 👁 Image
to show appreciation for a viewer's post in your Community.

  1. Sign in to the YouTube app.
  2. On your channel page, tap Visit Community.
  3. Go to a post you’d like to show appreciation for, tap 👁 Image
    .

On the lower right of the post, viewers will see your profile picture with a 👁 Image
next to it.

Pin a post to your Community

You can choose a post to stay at the top of the feed by pinning it. Pinning a post makes it more visible to your audience.

  1. Sign in to the YouTube app.
  2. On your channel page, tap Visit Community.
  3. Go to a post you’d like to pin, tap More 👁 Image
    👁 and then
    Pin post 👁 Image
    . If you already pinned a post, this will replace it.
Note: You can unpin a post at any time and the post will no longer be visible at the top of the feed.
