Learn MoreI right click in the area of a web site and nothing happens....no menu...I CAN right click in the tool bar area and get a menu. I CAN right click on the desktop (Windows XP professional) and get a menu. Using Firefox 4.0.11 but this has been happening since 3+.

It is probably related to HW acceleration. Disable it. See /questions/772569.
Another possible solution could be to update your graphic driver from your computer or GPU manufacturer support site.
Thanks for the reply...I have done both and it still is not working....:( Really frustrating.....right click is such an important feature..... Thanks Gramme
Issues with the right-click context menu not working can be caused by the Yahoo Toolbar (Tools > Add-ons > Extensions)
See:
Create a new profile exclusively for the 4.0 beta version and create a desktop shortcut with -P "profile" appended to the target to launch that profile.
Thank you all for your responses...I have FINALLY got it working...this is what I did: Under HELP I selected "restart with addons disabled. OK then when the box comes up for the safemode selections I selected #2 "reset toolbars & controls" then more opens at the bottom I clicked on the left handside and Voilà! Right click menu started working immediately!
Thanks again everyone for you suggestions, you time was appreciated. Gramme
