I have always been able to click on a box in the upper right to see my bookmarks on the left side of the screen.

This has now disappeared and the only way I can see the bookmarks is to go to "manage bookmarks". I don't see how to bring it back to the way it was.

I didn't knowingly change anything.

Thank you

I am running Firefox 151.0.4 on a Win 11 (25H2) AMD Ryzen 5, 32 GB ram. Every time I close Firefox, it generates a crash report. That takes several minutes during which I can't start a new Firefox window. The crash report says the report was submitted successfully but when I look in about:crashes the reports shows they need to be submitted.

I ran in troubleshoot mode and disabled all plugins and did not see any extensions listed. I restarted and it still crashes. Firefox seems to run fine. But the crashes when it closes are annoying and disruptive.

here are the first few lines of a recent crash report: Firefox 147.0.1 Crash Report [@ shutdownhang | mozilla::SpinEventLoopUntil | nsThreadPool::ShutdownWithTimeout ]

I am no longer able to open in Mac Preview or save when hitting Command + P, then 'print using system dialog'. It will only print instead. For instance, I save certain web pages as PDFs using the print dialog and now it will only print when trying to use either the save or preview options. Command + P, print using system dialog, then I choose either save as PDF or open in Mac Preview, but as soon as I do one of these it will only print. I am able to use save in the drop-down list of printers, but I need to be able to open in Mac Preview.

Since the Firefox update to 152.0 64bit I have noticed that it takes two attempts to log into Spectrum email. The first time I try I get a IDID-4000 error (see below image) after entering my sign on and password. I then have to retry by selecting the bookmark again and then after entering my sign on and password a second time I can get in. This does not happen in Edge browser. I have tried deleting my sign on and password in my saved passwords in Firefox and then manually reenter my sign on and password at the prompt for Spectrum and then saving it again but it keeps happening. There must be a bug in the new Firefox update that is effecting the ability to sign into Spectrum. I am wondering if anyone else is seeing this problem and is there a solution to fix this. Should I file a Bug Report about this?

Respectfully,

This is the reply I received from Protonmail: They say the latest version of Firefox caused the issue and is happening on other services as well. We have been using FF exclusively for decades and this is frustrating! Are you in fact working to resolve the issue on your end? Thank you.

Mario M. (ProtonMail) Jun 12, 2026, 16:07 GMT+2

Hello,

Thank you for your messages.

Please note that we are aware of this issue, and our developers are looking into providing a fix from our side. However, the latest version of the Firefox browser caused issue on many other services as well, so they are working on resolving it from their side as well.

I have provided your feedback to our development team. You can contact Firefox directly in order to escalate the issue further.

For the moment you can try using keyboard shortcuts such as CTR: + C and CTRL + V. We appreciate your understanding.

If you have any additional questions, feel free to contact us again. Kind regards,

Hello Mario,

I worked with Google AI for more than one hour troubleshooting this:

Opening a support ticket with Proton Mail Support is absolutely the best move. Since we proved that your clipboard works, your mouse works, and a fresh factory installation of Firefox still experiences the bug, the glitch is entirely on their end.

Proton Mail utilizes a heavily customized web text editor to encrypt messages. When their engineering team updates the background code for this text container, it can inadvertently break standard browser right-click paths—especially for Firefox users. [[1](https://www.reddit.com/r/ProtonMail/comments/p6j0tp/cant_copypaste_text_into_body_of_protonmail_email/), [2](https://www.packtpub.com/en-us/learning/tech-news/hackers-claim-to-have-compromised-protonmail-but-protonmail-calls-it-a-hoax-and-failed-extortion-attempt), [3](https://justinharter.com/an-actually-useful-review-of-proton-mail-vs-fastmail-vs-hey/), [4](https://www.reddit.com/r/ProtonMail/comments/p6j0tp/cant_copypaste_text_into_body_of_protonmail_email/)]

📑 What to Tell Proton Support To help their development team pinpoint and fix the bug faster, reply to your open support ticket with these technical details we uncovered:

- Specify the Browser: State clearly that you are running Firefox and that you just performed a full Firefox Profile Refresh (about:support), ruling out corrupt browser files. [[1](https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1234222)] - Detail the Extensions: Confirm you tested it with all extensions (including ESET and RoboForm) completely disabled, and the issue persisted. - Identify the Core Bug: Explain that the right-click "Paste" option is stripped only when clicking inside the Rich Text email composition body. [[1](https://proton.me/support/composer)] - Mention the Workaround: Note that Drag-and-Drop text injection works perfectly, meaning the editor container can receive data, but its custom context-menu script is failing to display the native "Paste" command. [[1](https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1234222)] They will likely log this as a known front-end interface bug and patch it in an upcoming web layout deployment. In the meantime, you can rely on the Drag-and-Drop trick or Ctrl + V to smoothly write your emails! I am writing to report a recurring technical issue that began appearing today across multiple devices.

When attempting to access Google websites (specifically Gmail and Google News) using the Firefox browser, users are being prompted to identify themselves via a security certificate. Previously, this authentication step did not occur, and access was seamless.

Key Observations:

Impact: We have confirmed this behavior on three firm-issued computers as well as one personal device.

Browser: The issue is isolated to Firefox; other browsers appear unaffected.

Timing: This behavior was not present yesterday; it started manifesting today.

We suspect this may be related to a recent network configuration change, a new security policy rollout, or a browser update that has altered how Firefox handles trusted connections to Google services.

Could you please inform me whether there have been any recent changes to our SSL inspection proxies, root certificate stores, or DNS configurations? Additionally, does anyone else on the team have visibility into a widespread incident affecting Google certificates, or should we proceed with troubleshooting individual profiles?

My Home page is a local HTML file featuring a CSS-based tabbed notebook holding links organized into various categories. When exiting FF, I always have this page as the active browser tab, so that on start-up it's still the active one in the event of multiple open browser tabs.

Until v151.0.4 (and still now with v152.0), if I exited FF with the active notebook tab (actually a styled radio button under the hood) in my CSS tabbed notebook something other than the first/leftmost tab, FF would restart with that being the active tab, but after a few seconds of CPU activity as the browser initialized the active notebook tab would switch to the first/leftmost one. (In my HTML I also have <input type="radio" name="tabs" checked> specified for this first/leftmost instance.)

Since the update, however, it remains stuck on the one from the last browser session as first displayed. I suppose I can live with this, but I do wonder what accounts for the change in behavior. If it's by design, where is it documented? If not ... maybe it calls for a bug report.

When opening a new page in Firefox I am shown a few widgets.

It shows the time of sports events and different timezones. But it shows this in a non-local time format - the 12 hour format (so it says 06:00 PM instead of 18:00).

In about:config I found a setting called "browser.newtabpage.activity-stream.widgets.clocks.hourFormat" but what are the acceptable formats to use here? It's not a boolean value, and by default nothing is there. I tried writing 24, HH:mm, and some other things, but didn't notice a difference.

Hi everyone,

Since the Firefox Developer Edition update 152.0beta, saving as a PDF via the print menu no longer works. Although the “Save as PDF” option is available and selected by me, the job is always sent to the laser printer (which is not supposed to print it, of course). This happens on every conceivable website, so the website itself is not the cause. (Platform: macOS Tahoe 26.5.1)

For years, generating PDFs via the print menu has worked flawlessly with FF—now I’m forced to take a detour via Safari, for example—which works correctly in the long run—but isn’t my preferred solution. I don’t think you need different browsers just to use “normal” functions. So who has recently tinkered with this FF feature?

Since I can’t find the relevant setting in the FF preferences—and a “search” on this topic has been unsuccessful—I’d like to know if there’s a solution?

Best regards, HS

Since the last upgrade Firefox is running very slowly. Many sites that I use daily either take so long to open or don't open at all. I have to open MS EDGE which opens up these sites within microseconds.

I prefer using Mozilla, but unfortunately looks like I may have to move as Firefox is now almost useless for me.

Can anyone suggest anything I could try.
