Decepticons gophers are drones from the St. Michael Story Books portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.

Decepticon gophers are a type of drilling machine used by Megatron to mine valuable ores from the soil.

Deadly Paradise

While investigating a cave on Carob Island, Prowl, Brawn, Ratchet and Windcharger came upon a Decepticon mining operation. Brawn stroke first, throwing himself at a group of the "gophers." The drilling machines screamed in defiance and attempted to fight back, but were no match for Brawn's strength. Two more of the machines attacked Ratchet, but were ensnared by Windcharger's magnetic abilities, and shattered against the cave wall. Prowl dispatched the last of the "gophers" with his acid pellets. The drones laying in broken heaps, the Autobots moved on to further dismantle the Decepticon operation on the island. Deadly Paradise
