Synopsis

Ever the scientist, Highbrow is bogged down in researching how the Legends World came to be and refuses to leave his room even to look at his completed transtector. Chromedome and Hardhead are disappointed in their friend's shut-in attitude (and smell), and the former decides to lure him out by using Alpha Trion's ultra-drill to summon his old friend, Papika. Unfortunately, even a lightly dressed young lady is not enough to coax Highbrow out of his room, but their attempts are interrupted by the arrival of Weirdwolf, out for revenge on Chromedome. Faced with the Decepticon, Papika suddenly rips her own dress to pieces and accuses him of it, hoping her cries for help will finally convince Highbrow.

The plan succeeds, as Highbrow bursts out of his room and uses his transtector and Cargot Cannon to swiftly defeat Weirdwolf... then just as swiftly leaves again without saying a word to Papika. It turns out his research has led to a hypothesis, and he flies to Blaster to borrow the Zodiac. By studying it, he can conclude that the Zamojin used it to create the Legends World, which in turn means Zodiac energy is connected to their own telepathic energy. And since Fortress has been suffering from spending too much of his own telepathic energy, this means they can cure him with Zodiac fragments! The others are overjoyed at this, but dismayed again when Highbrow immediately locks himself in his room again to work on his next project.

Notes

Continuity notes

  • The Zodiac was established to have the power to create a universe in Zone, in which it was introduced.
  • When Weirdwolf's head is disconnected, the straw he always keeps in his mouth in these comics is seen sticking out of his neck joint where the mouth of his smaller robot would be. Attention to detail!
