Well, I'm not the world's most physical guy, but when he squeezed me tight he nearly broke my spine. Oh, my Lowload.

A hulking member of The Rise, Lowload's drill-tank mode makes him a force to be reckoned with.

Fiction

2019 IDW continuity

Part of a small Rise cell led by Ruckus, Lowload joined his leader in an attempt to siphon energon from a remote energon transmission station following the destruction of the Rise base underneath the Memorial Crater. Lowload waited in reserve until the activities of his comrades caught the attention of Security Operations, and when Springer and Sideswipe investigated, Lowload burst from the ground, punched Springer into an energon stockpile, and temporarily shorted him out. With Springer momentarily down, the four Ascenticons made good their escape and fled to a Rise fallback position in the Cybertronian Mountains, where they accessed a hidden cache of weaponry to defend their new position inside the head of an immersant Titan. The Change In Your Nature Part One

As more officers were called in to deal with the burgeoning standoff, Lowload tangled with Sideswipe when the red 'bot tried to charge their fortifications, withstanding a stun grenade blast before retreating back inside the Titan's head after the security officer slapped a grenade atop him. Finally, Ascenticon senator Soundwave arrived to negotiate safe passage for the four bots, believing them to be simple criminals; however, Ruckus stupidly let slip that he and his team were members of The Rise. When it became clear that the four 'bots couldn't fall into Autobot custody, Soundwave was forced to doublecross the quartet and detonated the Titan's head, The Change In Your Nature Part Two blowing Lowload to bits. Notes

  • Lowload is, seemingly, based on Marvel's Spider-Man rogue The Rhino. His color scheme, horn/drill motif, and small yellow lights on his eyes all mirror the supervillain's costume design. Whether or not this was intentional is unclear.
