Minitron

Minitron is a Decepticon from the Robots in Disguise portion of the Aligned continuity family.

Despite his tiny size, Minitron (aka Minimus Ambus) is an incredibly dangerous Decepticon. Once this cyber-tick latches on to a larger bot's armor, he can almost instantly take direct control of their bodies, even talking through them. Particularly strong-willed individuals may be able to resist some of his commands, but it's a major struggle. Thankfully, Minitron isn't terribly bright or creative, and without a larger host bot, he's absolutely nothing in direct combat.

2015 Robots in Disguise cartoon

One of the prisoners aboard the Alchemor, Minitron was freed when the ship crashed on Earth. Minitron worked with Steeljaw, and attached himself to Grimlock, controlling him so that he would free Decepticon prisoners that the Autobots had captured. Under Minitron's control, Grimlock attacked the Autobots before leaving with the stasis pod containing the Decepticon prisoner Underbite. Minitron and Grimlock returned to Steeljaw at the Crown River Dam, where they delivered Underbite's stasis pod to him, and were subsequently attacked by Bumblebee's Autobots. Although Grimlock was able to hold his own against them at first, the Autobots were eventually able to bring him down and tie him up. After being discovered on Grimlock by the Autobots, Minitron tried to flee, first by taking control of Bumblebee, then Strongarm, before attempting to return to Grimlock, at which point the Dinobot captured him, and he was placed in an adorably tiny stasis pod. Minitron's stasis pod was later taken back to Cybertron by Optimus Prime, Windblade and Ratchet. Decepticon Island (Part 2)

Part of the sixth blind-bagged assortment of Tiny Titans, "Minimus Ambus" is a small, soft-plastic figurine. The name was presumably chosen as a "close enough" name that Hasbro already had trademarked.

He comes with a trading card with a scan-badge for the Robots in Disguise mobile game, which unlocks a random amount of Energon "currency" and a randomized bonus power-up item.

• Despite being called a cyber-tick, Minitron has a closer resemblance to a louse.
