When the Transformers caused their first ruckus upon waking up in 1984, Nicholas hoped it wasn't "that big green, fire-snortin' lizard" again. Prisoner of War!
It doesn't appear that the two ever actually looked into what was going on in Oregon at all. Or if they did, they sure didn't do anything about it.

- Transformers Animated: The AllSpark Almanac II featured a crossword clue "Big green, fire-snortin' lizard that menaces Col Fury", filling out the rest of Nicholas's name and rank. The answer to the clue was "Godzilla".
