Senator Ratbat couldn't care less about whether the Senate's actions are moral, focusing entirely on whether their actions are against the established law. Though Commander Megatron routinely subverts the law, Ratbat can be persuaded to act on his behalf. If upholding the law precludes a desired outcome, then perhaps an investigative committee can be assembled that will find a way to lawfully ignore the law.

Andromeda - Axiom Nexus News, 2015/09/28 The official line was that this was probably just a temporary issue, even as the government covered up the loss of Aurex on 9 October Quadwal time. While holding a party to celebrate the constant discovery of (fragmentary) Kappa realities, Ratbat accidentally let slip that Aurex had gone dark. Rook - Axiom Nexus News, 2015/10/09
