Determined, self-actualized, and unwilling to take guff from anyone, Sarah Connor is not your average teenage human sidekick. Despite her decidedly mundane life in California, it didn't take long for her to accept the existence of sentient robots and take a stand in the Autobot-Decepticon conflict. She takes no guff from these mechanical invaders, and if she does get into trouble it's more likely that she'll simply grab the nearest weapon and fight her way out rather than hang around waiting for an Autobot to rescue her.
Unlike most humans caught up in the endless Cybertronian wars, however, Sarah doesn't just have to worry about robots from outer space—she also has to deal with the existence of time-travelling robots from the future, and the knowledge that her actions might just change the course of history...

In the year 1984, Sarah Connor was working as a waitress in a Californian diner when she accidentally caused a trucker to spill his coffee and storm out without paying his bill. When her boss sent her out to collect the bill, the situation nearly turned lethal until the recently-arrived T-800 Terminator intervened, killing the man and stealing his clothes. Having been sent backwards in time from the year 2029 to prevent the eruption of Mount St. Hilary, the Terminator coerced her into giving him directions to the volcano, then intimidated her into coming with her using the stolen truck. The pair arrived in Oregon too late to prevent the volcano's eruption; undeterred, the T-800 simply drove the truck off-road, directly into the Ark where he faced off against Megatron and the other recently-awoken Decepticons. In the ensuing melee, Sarah tried to escape from Ravage by climbing up onto Teletraan I, and her interference awoke Optimus Prime, who intervened just in time to save the Terminator. Sarah then reactivated Bumblebee, and the surprise reappearance of the two Autobots provoked Megatron into declaring a retreat. As the Decepticons abandoned their position, Sarah tried to negotiate between the Terminator—who had been programmed to destroy all Cybertronians regardless of allegiance—and the Autobots, and eventually convinced the cyborg to work with the heroic robots. Sarah helped Prime and Bumblebee bring several more Autobots online, and then accepted Bumblebee's offer to drive her home, not wanting any more part in the brewing conflict. After purchasing a change of clothes in Stockton, Sarah keyed into a radio broadcast regarding a mysterious attack at the Cyberdyne Systems laboratory; when the pair investigated, they found that the Decepticons had captured the facility. Bumblebee managed to protect Sarah long enough for Optimus and the other Autobots to arrive; Enemy of My Enemy Part Three while the Autobots and Decepticons squared up for a fight, Sarah tried and failed to contact Wheeljack on the Ark using the nearby radio in the Cyberdyne gatehouse. When Ravage tried to break in, however, Sarah simply grabbed a gun and grappled with the feline Decepticon until she fatally shot him through the mouth. As Starscream crashed, Sarah helped pull the damaged Terminator out from under Starscream's fuselage, then teamed up with the android to shoot the dying Soundwave until he collapsed. Following Megatron's own death, Bumblebee asked Sarah if she would like to join the Autobots. Sarah declined; although she pointed out that someone needed to stay behind and keep the police off their trail, she promised to keep in touch with her new friends.
Sarah made good on her promise: some time later, she had gotten a job with Skywatch, and used her new connections to keep an eye on the remaining Autobots and Decepticons after the two factions had ratified an official truce. Enemy of My Enemy Part Four
