In the original Sgt. Savage and his Screaming Eagles, the Eagles were a 1990s team commanded by the revived Savage. This was changed to the mid-2000s for the TransTech continuation of G.I. Joe vs. the Transformers and to 1940s World War II for IDW continuity.
