Shutter

Shutter is a Transformer from the 2019 IDW portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.

Shutter was Bumblebee's mentor.

After Bumblebee emerged from the Pyramid, Shutter introduced herself to her mentee and began showing him the sights of Cybertron. Some hours later, during a lecture about the duality between light and darkness, Shutter got a call from Sentinel who brought the news the Well of All Sparks had birthed forth another one. Furious at Sentinel for the error, Shutter questioned if the newborn even had a name. Wannabee, Part 2

Shutter imparted onto Bumblebee that all Transformers were made from the materials that Cybertron itself provided, and thus were inextricably linked to their home planet. Bumblebee would later pass this notion on to his own mentee Rubble. The World In Your Eyes Part Three

Notes

• Separately, a cut scene from the 1985 Generation 1 cartoon episode "Sea Change" would have had Bumblebee see memories of "his parents".
• From her name and kibble, she almost certainly turns into a camera.
