During the Predator attack on the Turbomaster base, Snare was almost hit by Autobot fire as Rotorstorm and Stalker faced off. Predator Air Attack!
Snare served under the command of Turmoil when their second-in-command Deadlock abandoned his post. Drift #1
He later served under Tarn at Grindcore prison, where he watched Skids repair the mass teleporter so that he could repair it himself if it broke down again. Speak, Memory! (Part 2)
Snare was part of Skyquake's force sent to crush a resistance movement in the Skomiloch Territories. Snare's security expertise helped ensure the resistance posed no further trouble, and he showed himself to be a diligent and dedicated officer. Skyquake then set up his own mini-empire in the territories. During this time away from regular Decepticon protocols, Snare hung out with Stalker and began taking a sadistic pleasure in his treatment of the prisoners. His reviewer Calcar considered that to be the sort of go-getting attitude the Decepticons needed! Someone with his standards and diligence would require an incredibly obscene shock to the system to doubt the Decepticon cause! Snare's personnel evaluation
Many years later, Snare was part of Skyquake's Predator army during the attack on Garrus-9. It was a routine conquest operation... until Overlord showed up. Snare wet himself at the sight, and that was before the sociopath killed Skyquake and usurped command. He later stood with fellow Predator Stalker as Overlord announced his reign over the former prison, and spent the next three years as witness to the pointless, ongoing "games". In one such game, he saw two Decepticons killed for being careless and was told to bring a wounded Autobot to be "recycled" for fun. He didn't look happy about this, or, before then, about Skyquake's death. Last Stand of the Wreckers #1
At the three years of pointless slaughter, he had an epiphany and deliberately released the Autobot war criminal Impactor from his cell. Snare was too scared of Overlord to escape Garrus-9 himself, but Impactor had a reputation which showed he could pull it off and bring back help. Last Stand of the Wreckers #2 Snare was present when Overlord confronted Perceptor's team and watched as he executed Rotorstorm. Last Stand of the Wreckers #3
Snare then tracked down Kup and Guzzle, two other Wreckers who were trying to rescue Grimlock from the facility. He told them that Grimlock was "long gone" and that Overlord had most likely driven him mad anyway. The two Autobots didn't believe him at first, but Snare went on to take them to three of their comrades who had been captured by Stalker. Stalker was furious about his fellow Predator's treachery, and blasted a large hole in Snare's skull. As he lay injured, Impactor approached the Decepticon and asked him why he had sacrificed himself for the Wreckers. Snare explained that while Overlord had told the Decepticons that "play makes you free", they were really just pawns in Overlord's own game as he tried to grab Megatron's attention. Impactor offered to move him to safety before Overlord arrived, but Snare refused to let Overlord learn of his betrayal and knew he had done something good with his life anyway. He requested that Impactor kill him, and the Wrecker complied by crushing Snare's brain module before he could even finish the sentence. Last Stand of the Wreckers #4
Snare was one of the many Decepticons who pursued the AllSpark to Earth. He participated in an enormous battle against the Autobots in a human settlement. The Ultimate Pop-Up Universe
