"Do you hear that? It's the winds of change."

As the leader of the High Guard, Starscream has waged a long and arduous guerrilla war in an effort to put an end to Sentinel Prime's corrupt rule. Both volatile and easily provoked, but also quite cowardly when things don't go his way, Starscream's "might makes right" philosophy often brings him to blows with trespassers, pacifists, or even people who just don't agree with him.

The idea of a unified Cybertron is a myth. All that counts is the strength of one bot over another!

—Starscream to Orion Pax, not knowing HIS strength would be lacking., Transformers One

"That's the last time I lose to you, Sullivan."

Starscream was a member of the Cybertronian High Guard. Upon bearing witness to Sentinel Prime's betrayal of the Primes, he and the rest of the High Guard resolved to hide away from the rest of Cybertronian society and delegate resources towards sabotaging Sentinel's rule.

When Orion Pax, D-16, Elita-1, and B-127 were brought before Starscream, he informed them that they had two options: Die slowly and painfully, or give up intel on Sentinel Prime and die less slowly and painfully. When Orion Pax attempted to make an appeal to him, citing their similar goals, he was quick to denounce the idea of a unified Cybertron as a possibility, asserting that all that mattered was the strength of one 'bot over another.

Starscream took it rather personally when D-16 attempted to leave before his say-so and accuse the former High Guard of running away and hiding whilst making a very minimal difference. In the ensuing fight, he egged on D-16 to continue hitting him as he was held down. As D-16 crushed his throat, Starscream's voice began to pitch up, becoming more harsh and strained. Starscream quickly changed gears to begging for mercy once D-16 shoved his newly-discovered arm-mounted gun right into his face. He was only saved by Orion Pax's insistence that Starscream was not the enemy, and D-16 assured all present that this was the last time he would be giving mercy.

When Airachnid attacked the High Guard's base, Starscream attempted to hide, but was captured and kept captive in Sentinel's tower in Iacon. The false Prime mocked his new "ridiculous" voice, until Orion Pax's plan to retake the city started and Soundwave released the prisoners. Starscream fought the guards, and once D-16 killed Sentinel and renamed himself, was the first to start shouting "All hail Megatron!" After the newly christened Optimus Prime defeated Megatron in battle, he ordered him to leave the city along the High Guard. In their exile, the group was rechristened the Decepticons, and the faction's insignia based on the face of Megatronus Prime was branded onto Starscream's wings. One

Starscream was the commander of the High Guard. When the Primes fell in battle, Starscream and the other members of the High Guard abandoned society and retreated into the wilderness to continue their war against the Quintessons. Cut off from society, the High Guard grew increasingly unscrupulous; while Starscream was too cowardly to order a direct strike against Sentinel Prime or the Quintessons, the High Guard usually hit the energon trains that ran to the surface so that Starscream and his lieutenants could maintain their positions of power.

Other Transformers sometimes mistook Skywarp for Starscream’s brother, which Starscream vehemently denied. Transformers One Sourcebook

Why do you guys keep making jokes about my head?
  • Starscream (Classic Class, 2024)
  • ID number: 16
  • Accessories: 2 pairs of hands (grip, open palm), 2 figure stands, 2 energy effects
Released as part of Blokees' Classic Class kits, Starscream is a 4.5-inch tall non-transforming Deluxe/Prime Changer-sized Gunpla-style model kit with some pre-painted parts on the runners. He also features a torso frame that lights up upon shaking (or at least lightly tapping some areas on the torso), causing the eyes to glow for a limited time. Unlike other Classic Class kits, Starscream does not come with additional weapons...but then again, he has null-rays, so why bother? While the pieces are molded on a touch-gate runner for easy removal of parts without nippers or tools, the former is required for a cleaner cut.
Intial runs of the kit come with a limited edition kit of Megatron's Cybertronian tank form.

"I'm a team player, cousin, I'm Charlie Hustle. If that's what you want, I'll do it."
  • Starscream (2025)
  • Series: Galaxy Version 07 - One Wave 2
  • Accessories: 2 pairs of hands (Fists/Weapon-holding, open palm)
Part of Blokees' 7th entry for their Galaxy Version blindbox kits, this Starscream is a roughly 4-inch-tall, highly-articulated, and non-transforming snap-on model kit of the High Guard's Defector Leader. He is built on a "Standard Body" skeleton shared with other Blokees figures in the line, but with different body pieces to make them distinct. As advertised in the box, Starscream has a pull rate of 1 in every 9 boxes. In addition to the usual 2 pairs of hands, Starscream also features a ball-jointed waist similar to his wave mates, and he also uses the underslung peghole forearms from the 5th wave.
If you're a speed builder, be mindful when attaching the pre-assembled joints; Unlike the symmetrical joints from earlier waves, the pegs on both ends of these joints are designed to connect to specific pieces; The tabs with slightly smaller holes are intended for the upper arms and thighs, while the regular tabs are meant for the forearms and lower legs. While an incorrect knee joint assembly may cause it to very slightly lean when standing straight or in an A-stance, an incorrect elbow assembly won't be noticeably affected unless you're looking very closely.
