You really can be a tool sometimes,Willis.
I know! But here's my explanation. Mentioning "616" Spiderman is breaking the fourth wall of the entry. Also, mentioning the real-life movies, though funny, implies to me that those were events which occurred in the Transformers comics themselves, which is obviously not the case. --ItsWalky 05:49, 16 March 2006 (UTC)
I don't know. I don't think these articles have a fourth wall. 24.3.227.249 12:08, 16 March 2006 (UTC)
- I dunno about that, I agree with Walky. I mean, we don't have a full detailed article on New York, and we shouldn't, even though it has shown up in Transformers before. This is just about Transformers, so we shouldn't be wasting time on stuff that isn't relevant. So Spider-Man's (or New York's, or anything else) entry should just be limited to stuff pertaining to Transformers; if they want more detail, they can look at, say, Wikipedia. --Suki Brits 19:33, 16 March 2006 (UTC)
- Agreed. If you want details of Spider-Man's career, check a Marvel Wiki. This is the TF wiki, where Spidey is pretty much a footnote, just like SHIELD, Dazzler, and Godzilla. -hx 19:51, 16 March 2006 (UTC)
Why is this listed under Attacktix? -Andrusi 06:33, 26 August 2006 (UTC)
Because there are multiple upcoming Attacktix Spider-Men? --M Sipher 06:51, 26 August 2006 (UTC)
Transformers/New Avengers
So, what's this crossover going to do to this page? :) - 82.10.138.152
- Make us all very sad. --ItsWalky 23:30, 4 March 2007 (UTC)
- I really wish the crossover was in the current era, so you could have black-costume-spidey again. ...oh well. -Derik 00:03, 5 March 2007 (UTC)
You know, there's no reason to assume they're the same spider-man... --Chiasaur11
- Yeah, but at that point, we're taking the joke too far. We just have to own up to the crossover ruining our awesome page. --ItsWalky 18:49, 8 August 2007 (UTC)
- And the crossover looks lame. We're losing an awesome page for nothing. Unless we treat it like IDW/marvel optimus. If spidey doesn't recognize megatron, we've got reasonable motive! --Chiasaur11
- It's a different Spiderman. Can't we just do Spiderman(616) and Spiderman(120185)? 85.195.123.29 19:34, 8 August 2007 (UTC)
- Yes, when we do [[Optimus Prime (Marvel)]], [[Optimus Prime (cartoon)]], [[Optimus Prime (Dreamwave)]], and [[Optimus Prime (IDW)]]. Interrobang 20:56, 8 August 2007 (UTC)
Recent removal
Actually, that part I didn't restore DID need removing. It really had jack-all to do with his TF involvement, started by calling him a "grounded character with real-world problems" (which can apply to a billion other superhero characters) and ended with his parents being evil robots, which... yeah, very "real-world". It was bad. YOU WROTE A BAD NOTE, PETEY. --M Sipher 13:12, 24 May 2010 (EDT)
- Yeah, that was a #wiigii! injoke. Sorry. --ItsWalky 14:15, 24 May 2010 (EDT)
- Ah, ok. No problem. I thought that since you (Walky) had added that note and it had been there a few months without being removed, that it was okay to stay and that Sipher had just missed seeing the removal by the anon. --Tigerpaw28 14:31, 24 May 2010 (EDT)
Voice actor notes
Any was it removed that a TF voice actor has voiced Spider-Man? 66.45.237.122 13:38, 5 July 2010 (EDT)
- I didn't remove your edit, but I agree that it's not really relevant to that article. I've removed the Weird Al Yankovich trivia, bas it's in the same boat of not really being relevant to the article, either. --FFN 13:46, 5 July 2010 (EDT)
Amazing Spider-Man toys
Although they aren't branded as Transformers Crossovers, advertising and the packaging for those "Flip and Attack" ASM toys claim that they use "Transformers technology". http://www.entertainmentearth.com/prodinfo.asp?number=HMV37219A1#desc Heck, they're labelled on Target's website as Transformers. http://www.target.com/p/the-amazing-spider-man-flip-and-attack-assortment/-/A-13821574
Should we make a page for Lizard and add the Spidey Flip & Attack toys to this page? Antimatter 19:07, 3 January 2013 (EST)
- They're part of the The Amazing Spider-Man brand, not Transformers, so no.--Primestar3 (talk) 19:20, 19 July 2015 (EDT)
