Amila: Where did the limo go?
Amir: I don't know, but was that a ride or what?
Amila: Yeah! It was a ToyRide!
  • All Men Are Perverts: The toy men with laser guns thrust their pelvises (which resembles masturbation) on Anila in the "Best Friend" video, the monkeys in the video for "Tarzan & Jane" smother themselves all over her, and a seagull puppet harasses her in "The Sailor Song".
  • Bodyguard Crush: The music video for "Teddybear" features Anila as a débutante hitting on her bodyguard.
  • Bird-Poop Gag: In the video for "The Sailor Song" the seagull puppet does this to Amir out of jealousy.
  • Bittersweet Ending: In the video for "Superstar", Amir and Anila enjoy their wealth and fame but lose it after they run out of time. They recall how great it was while bidding farewell to the fairy.
  • Black Comedy: The smokestacks on the ship in the video for "The Sailor Song" act as cannons that shoot people overboard. These people most likely drowned.
  • Cool Car
    • In the video for "Superstar" Amir drives a "red Ferrari".
    • In the video for "Best Friend" he drives a yellow toy Porsche.
  • Comedic Spanking: At the end of the video for "Best Friend" Amir spanks Anila which pisses her off.
  • Concept Video: The video for "Superstar" is about Amir and Anila becoming famously rich with the help of the fairy from Cinderella (1950).

    • In "The Sailor Song", Tarzan says this line:
"Yeah, baby, you can sail my ship!"

  • Improbable Hairstyle: In the video for "Best Friend", Anila sports a pineapple-like hairstyle with blue dye strands.
  • Intercourse with You:
    • In "Tarzan & Jane" there are many of these moments.
Tarzan: When you touch me I feel funny.
Jane: I feel it too when you're touching me!"
    • "Teddybear" is probably their most blatant, with the singer outright propositioning their lover to sleep with them.
  • Large Ham: Amir, who plays the guy characters often yells energetically.
  • Lucky Charms Title: They have a song titled, "www.girl".
  • Misplaced Wildlife: Parodied in "Tarzan and Jane", which opens with a chorus of "jungle" sounds, including various birds singing, large cats growling, monkeys calling, sheep bleating, and elephants trumpeting.
  • Mocking Sing-Song: Forms the basis for "Best Friend"'s main musical motif, as well as featured literally to demonstrate how "lately, everyone is making fun."
  • Shot in the Ass: In the video for "Best Friend", Anila uses a bow-and-arrow to shoot two girls Amir cheats with. She shoots their rear ends.
  • Shout-Out:
    • The album art for FanTastic is designed to resemble the box art layout for PlayStation games.
    • In the video for "The Sailor Song", Anila and Amir do the same pose Jack and Rose did in Titanic (1997), and this song and its music video came out during that time.
    • Toy-Box: "The Sailor Song": Music Video: While wielding a ladle, Anila challenges Amir to a fight. He answers "Ha, that's not a knife. This is a knife." after the iconic line in Crocodile Dundee and unsheathes a scimitar.
  • Soprano and Gravel: Toy-Box's music revolves around the Vocal Tag Team between Anila's high-pitched vocals and Amir's low, gruff voice.
  • The Drunken Sailor: The song and video for "The Sailor Song" is about drinking and sailing the seas.
  • Toon Physics: In the video for "Tarzan and Jane", Jane's arms stretch like a rubber toy when two gorillas pull her, then Tarzan saves her.
