fun. is touring with Tegan and Sara this summer. I'm hoping they add more dates (Boston date, come on!) but if tickets aren't bad and I can work out logistics I might try for the NYC show because a) fun are that great live and I'd love to see them as headliners instead of openers b) TEGAN AND SARA

Also there's a nice amount of time between my hypothetical FOB show and this hypothetical show.

I suppose I should also squee about The Hush Sound here, since there isn't anything super new/concrete to justify a separate post and I don't think I've properly capslocked about them yet.

LET'S ALSO TALK ABOUT HOW THE HUSH SOUND IS RECORDING A NEW ALBUM AND GOING ON TOUR THIS YEAR BECAUSE THAT IS POSSIBLY EVEN BETTER THAN FOB BECAUSE THS WAS A LOT CLOSER TO AN ACTUAL BAND BREAKUP AND NOT JUST A "HIATUS" SO THIS IS A REALLY BIG DEAL AND I'M SO EXCITED OMG

No, seriously. I love The Hush Sound more than FOB (possibly more than Panic?) and I got into bandom basically right after they finished touring on Goodbye Blues, either right before or right after they announced they were going on indefinite hiatus and it was awful because I love their albums so much and they seemed like such awesome people and I desperately wanted to see them live. And then I couldn't. It was heartbreaking because I really don't have words for how much I love THS.

So when they first started tweeting about hanging out more/writing I kind of lost it on twitter and confirming they were working on a new album? BEST DAY. I am so excited for a new album and gleeful about touring because while they obviously aren't doing any big tours right now and probably won't make it out to New England any time soon, there will be video and maybe some of it'll have new music soon. NEW HUSHIE MUSIC I CAN'T EVEN. And maybe I'll get to see them this time around!
